Let’s Run …

The benefits of regular exercise and physical activities are many and without a doubt vital for our good health and life!

So, let’s see why we have to run.

 

Running helps in controlling out body weight

Running helps us avoid gaining too much weight and assists in maintain the loss of weight.  When you take part in physical activities, you burn calories.  The more intense the activity is, the more calories you burn.  Running is considered to be the ideal exercise for the improvement of our body weight.   

 

Exercise enhances good health and fights disease

Regardless of your body weight, physical exercise will enhance the ‘good’ cholesterol (HDL) and will reduce the triglycerides which are detrimental to our health.  This will ensure excellent blood circulation, and thus lessen the danger of cardiovascular diseases.  In fact, regular physical activity can help in preventing or tackling a wide range of diseases and health issues, including strokes, metabolic syndrome, diabetes type 2, depression, some types of cancer and arthritis.

Exercise and physical activity can be a most enjoyable way to spend your time.  It gives you the opportunity to relax, to enjoy the benefits of taking part in small competitions/races and spend a wonderful time and days in the company of your teammates and friends, while at the same time creating a series of personal achievements and slowly but surely adding to your collection of medals, which will inevitable bring joy to you and your loved ones.  You will become a source of inspiration for people around you and many will decide to follow in your footsteps. 

 

Exercise improves our psychology.

Physical activity stimulates a variety of chemical substances in our brain which can help us feel happier and more relaxed.  A training session at the stadium will make you feel so much better and you will suddenly feel everything transforming within you!

 

Exercise increases our levels of energy.  We feel as if we’re flying!

Regular physical activity can enhance our muscular strength and increase our endurance.  Exercise and physical activities supply our muscle fibre with oxygen and healthy substances; these assist our cardiovascular system to work better.  When our heart and lungs work more efficiently, we have more energy; this enables us to face our daily work and other obligations more effortlessly.  

Exercise helps us sleep better

Do you have difficulty in falling asleep or do you wake up in the middle of the night, struggling to fall back to sleep again?  Regular exercise can help us sleep faster and more deeply.  Try it and you’ll sleep like a baby!
