Eilish McColgan broke the European record for the legendary Paula Radcliffe

Scottish runner Eilish McColgan broke legendary Paula Radcliffe's 10km European record on Sunday's Great Manchester Run. The new European record is now 30.19, two seconds better than Radcliffe's.

Although McColgan did not win in Manchester, the Kenyan runner Hellen Obiri was four seconds faster than McColgan.

Radcliffe's European record was maintained for 19 years.

The 31-year-old McColgan has now broken Radcliffe's records in the 5,000-meter, 10-kilometer and half-marathon races. There is basically another result left, in the marathon, but the Scotland has not made any starts in this distance so far.
